AGNÈS B.
Agnès b., the French ready-to-wear design label started by Agnès Troublé in the 70s has set up shop in the lower stretches of SoHo along with the rest of the elite new store openings. Part gallery and part boutique, the Agnès b. location is a rustically elegant street-level loft complete with hardwood floors, iron-cast columns, exposed brick, and potted pink and white flowers adorning the store’s circumference. Striped tees, classic day dresses, and streamlined suits hang on spacious racks next to stark white shelving with neutral accessories and shoes for both men and women. The walls have been dripped with the works of international artists from the designer’s gallery in Paris, Galerie du Jour, along with emerging artists, which will be constantly changing for a unique experience upon every visit to this effortlessly elegant rendezvous between Paris and New York, and don’t miss the in-store bookshop just to the left of the entrance.
