BOHEMIAN
This Zen Japanese, members-only restaurant and bar is far from your casual, last-minute dining option. In order to secure a table at Bohemian, you need time, patience, and ideally a referral from a member (someone who has dined at Bohemian previously). If you don’t have a referral, the restaurant welcomes you to get in touch via email or their website with a brief introduction to yourself. If you are lucky, you will soon be escaping away behind a Japanese butcher on Bond Street, down a long corridor, dubbed “Basquiat Road” (the artist once occupied the loft), and into an impressive denlike space akin to the most stylish living room imaginable. This may sound all too exclusive and perhaps even a little gimmicky, but believe us, it is anything but. The food, a mix of American Nouveau, French, and Japanese small plates, is excellent, and made all the better by a vibey, intimate, and relaxed atmosphere.
