Canvas, a home goods collection that offers ethically sourced and ecologically responsible products whenever possible, was introduced by British ex-banker Andrew Corrie two years ago with the tagline “Simple Sustainable Style.” The 1,800-square-foot shop in SoHo carries the brand’s signature tableware, textiles, and furniture in rich blues, soft pastels, and natural tones all made from either repurposed or sustainable materials or produced by artisan groups. Corrie, an Aid to Artisans board member, stays true to the line’s fair-trade commitment by donating 10 percent of Canvas’ profits to nonprofit artisan organizations, keeping up the flow of quality products into the store.
