The folks at Claudette (who are also behind Rosemary’s and Bobo) deserve applause for having given fresh life to a frequently shuttered address, transforming it into a light-filled, airy space with French country accents. The cocktail list is fruit-forward and refreshing, and the menu, which leans heavily towards garden fresh vegetables and seasonal fish, is a delight as well. Dishes manage to be full meals while still feeling light, so make sure to leave room for dessert. Claudette serves a full lunch as well, which may be the best option in the winter months, as it’s the type of place that just feels right when the sun is shining.
