THE FLOWER SHOP
Wood-paneled walls, floral banquettes, and trinkets from every generation will put you in a state of retro bliss the minute you walk through the door at The Flower Shop.
“It started with one idea and totally evolved. We didn’t stay specific to a certain style and decided to style it as if it had been here through a few generations, as if every generation had left something behind.” Australian owner, Ronnie Flynn, told The Coveteur of his spot on Eldridge. The restaurant-slash-bar has a dining room upstairs with a full lounge below that’s complete with a jukebox and pool table.
The menu ranges from bud-lights and burgers to scotch eggs and cold brew cocktails, offering something for everyone. They covered the essentials in our eyes with wings and a variety of A Beer & A Back combinations.
The place is consistently packed with a familiar circle of downtown regulars. The crowd combined with the décor makes it impossible to shake the feeling that you’ve just kicked it back a few generations and are partying in your parent’s basement.
