Aaron Grenia is the co-founder of cult-favorite salon and hair care brand IGK. When he’s not working with designers and brands on runway looks, editorial and brand campaigns, you’ll find him leading the charge at the downtown location of IGK on West Broadway. My Wife. She’s so much fun.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION? WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL?
Switzerland. I get to visit my good friend, it’s relaxing, beautiful and full of adventure.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON IN NYC?
Hang out with my daughter, Stevie.

WHAT’S INSPIRING YOU NOW—ANYTHING YOU’RE LISTENING TO, READING OR LOOKING AT?
My partners and I just opened IGK salon in SoHo across the street from Soho Grand. So right now, I’ve been super influenced by design and furniture.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NYC RESTAURANTS? WHAT DO YOU ORDER THERE?
Rubirosa—lasagna and a negroni. Also the vodka pizza. And the Rubirosa salad. And basically everything on their menu.

WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO SPOT IN NYC FOR DRINKS?
In the city, my wife and I love the Soho Grand Bar. When in Brooklyn, I always go to Yours Sincerely, all the cocktails are on draft and they’re amazing.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE NYC BRUNCH SPOTS? WHAT DO YOU ORDER?
Gilligans in the summer is my favorite spot for brunch, the breakfast pizza is amazing and the outdoor space can’t be beat.

WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR ART FIX IN NYC? DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE NYC ARTIST?
My friend Whisbe. We have one of his pieces in our salon.

WHEN YOU THINK OF NYC, ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR MEMORIES THAT IMMEDIATELY COME TO MIND?
My first year here… I only knew one person when I arrived and had never been to New York before. I had a lot of fun getting to know myself inside a big city.
