Dana Foley

At New York fashion designer Dana Foley’s Lower East Side boutique, the creative brief seems to be Brigitte Bardot in her 1960s negligees meets Julia Roberts at the 1990 Academy Awards. This shop aces feminine/masculine yin and yang with vintage corsets, oversized blazers, evening gowns and sheer pieces with lots of ostrich feathers. Some of the garments are designed by Foley herself (she used to own and run Foley & Corinna, a hit downtown brand) and some are hand-picked pre-owned gems. Foley’s muse is the downtown neighborhood girl who is confident enough to mix and match as she pleases.
