Pamela Love is a native New Yorker who has carved out a name for herself as one of the city's most dynamic and innovative designers. Since launching her eponymous label from her Brooklyn apartment in 2006, Love's jewelry has graced the runways in collaboration with fellow fashion Wunderkind ranging from Zac Posen and Yigal Azrouel to Marchesa and Frank Tell. Known for her unique vision and individual spirituality (her designs are heavily influenced by astronomy, astrology, alchemy and the American Southwest), Love has been awarded numerous awards and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in fashion and film.

WHAT WOULD THE TITLE OF YOUR AUTO-BIOGRAPHY BE?
Hard question — I’m only half kidding with these: “Small Girl / Big World / Medium Fries” or “The Story of Pamela Love: Jewels Rule You Drool”

WHAT CAN’T YOU TRAVEL WITHOUT AND WHY?
A good book, headphones, and a giant coat that doubles as a blanket.

WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?
Anywhere new. I love traveling and seeing different cultures, so it’s hard to choose a favorite. Though, I’ve always been partial to the Southwest – New Mexico and Arizona play a huge part as inspiration for my collections.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ONE PERSON TO SHOW YOU “THEIR NEW YORK CITY”, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
My dad’s.

WHAT OR WHO HAS INSPIRED YOU RECENTLY AND WHY?
The culture and craftsmanship of Berber tribes in Morocco, and Northern African architecture.
